Shay and Dani are twins in a heated sibling rivalry. They’re fiercely competitive, especially when it comes to music. Shay and his band are pop stars ready to spread positivity! Dani and her band are dedicated to the punk life, head banging to death rock.

Inspiration

Inspired by the poppy bright aesthetic of stars like Zara Larsson, and the emo punk aesthetic of My Chemical Romance. Using the format of dueling coasters through drop towers, synced up to music, bouncing to the beat like a rhythm game.

Concept Ideation

Creating the characters I wanted to make it clear off the bat what genre each sibling represented. I also wanted to make them unique enough to stand out as new characters and not just imitations of their points of inspiration.

The interactive projector system will detect motion when guests “play” the instruments, displaying the effects surrounding. The JBL speakers hidden in the nearby trunks will play corresponding music. The Theatrical Lights will provide ambient lighting as well as plus up the projections. This interactive will be displayed on both sides of the queue with corresponding aesthetics.

The ride dimensions and ride system is based on the Sky Tower 39 by Zamperla. I designed custom seats and graphics to go on the vehicles as part of the story and theming.
